For two days only in Captain Cook Square, bring the children to visit his magical Grotto complete with special bubbling chimney, of course there’s a free gift for each child. Come along and meet Santa on Saturday 8th and 15th December between 10am and 4pm.

Tickets to Middlesbrough Council’s Grotto are £5 per child and advanced booking is encouraged via lovemiddlesbrough.com/Christmas to avoid disappointment.

But it’s not only Santa spreading some festive cheer, stilt-walking Christmas characters and festive friends will be visiting the shopping centre on Saturday 1st, 8th and 15th December between 11am and 3pm. Keep an eye out during your Christmas shopping for the visitors spreading festive cheer, handing out prizes and special gifts to lucky winners on Saturdays throughout December.

Captain Cook Square centre manager, Lynn Stainsby, said “We have lots of exciting plans here throughout December and we wanted to provide shoppers with entertainment by bringing the square to life whilst they shop.
We’re looking forward to seeing the children’s faces when Santa arrives on the 8th December, the Grotto always looks fantastic.

We are also pleased to be offering late night shopping until 7pm in the lead up to the festive period, to give shoppers plenty of opportunities to find that perfect gift.”
